RTG Sponsors Fundraiser for Niswonger Children’s Hospital
Realty Trust Group (RTG) supported Ballad Health at its Play Yellow Golf Tournament to benefit Niswonger Children’s Hospital on Monday, August 15, 2022. RTG sponsored golf carts and sent a team to participate in the tournament, which was part of a campaign to collect $30 million to expand and improve facilities and service offerings at the hospital.
The expansion will include a vertical construction above the existing hospital, containing a regional perinatal and neonatal care center. This facility will offer the newest neonatal intensive care unit in Tennessee and Virginia and provide parents with much-needed services and amenities. A regional center for pediatric specialties is also planned to provide coordinated care for patients with complex conditions.
The campaign also will fund:
- A multi-physician specialist system to provide children with coordinated care, minimizing stress and time constraints.
- A pediatric emergency department and center for women and babies in Kingsport, TN.
- A children’s resource center in Abingdon, Virginia.
- Telehealth services.
- A child life therapy program.
The campaign, which Ballad Health announced in March 2022, has drawn acclaim from members of the Tennessee and Virginia governments. RTG was thrilled to support the initiative!
