Realty Trust Group Leads Development Starts and Earns Top Rankings in 2026 Revista Report

Realty Trust Group as Top Development Firm

Knoxville, TN – April, 2026 – Realty Trust Group (RTG), a national leader in healthcare real estate advisory, development, transactions, and management services, led the Revista 2026 Outpatient Real Estate Development Report for projects started, measured by total square footage.

RTG led all developers with 587,569 square feet across nine projects, including eight on-campus or affiliated developments and one off-campus project. RTG also ranked second nationally for all projects started or completed in 2025. The recognition reflects RTG’s continued focus on helping health systems align real estate strategy with clinical and operational priorities.

In a recent feature by Healthcare Real Estate Insights (HREI), RTG Executive Vice President Joe Krumdieck noted, “RTG’s development activity is a direct reflection of our advisory-first approach and long-standing relationships with health systems. Many of these projects are not one-off developments, but part of broader, enterprise-level strategies that we have helped our clients execute over time.”

The Revista report highlights continued momentum in healthcare real estate development, with increasing project scale and rising demand for outpatient facilities. RTG’s portfolio of projects reflects this shift, as health systems expand ambulatory networks, reposition services, and optimize their real estate footprint.

As healthcare organizations navigate capital constraints and cost pressures, development decisions are increasingly tied to long-term strategy.

“We are seeing continued demand for shifting care into outpatient settings, both on-campus and off-campus environments where health systems can maintain alignment while improving access and efficiency,” Krumdieck said. “A large portion of our activity is tied to helping clients reposition services such as emergency services, surgery, and specialty care into ambulatory settings, which creates capacity within the hospital and supports long-term growth.”

As healthcare delivery continues to evolve, RTG remains focused on helping health systems leverage real estate as a strategic asset to support access, efficiency, and future growth.
