Realty Trust Group Celebrates KOC’s Expansion into Northeast Tennessee

Knoxville, TN – Representatives from Realty Trust Group (RTG) and Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic, a division of OrthoTennessee (OTN), gathered on September 14th to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new 12,500-square-foot medical office building located in Morristown, approximately an hour northeast of Knoxville, Tennessee. This facility is strategically located within the community’s up and coming medical district and adjacent to Morristown Landing, a 115,000 square foot community sports and recreation facility. KOC will provide a range of orthopedic healthcare services at the new facility, including scheduled appointments, a walk-in clinic, diagnostic testing, and x-rays.

RTG first supported OTN through a market analysis and site selection process, and is providing development and project management support services, including design coordination, financing, and construction administration.  Additionally, the project team includes Johnson Architecture as the project architect, Johnson & Galyon as the general contractor, and First Horizon is providing project financing.  Upon completion, RTG will provide ongoing property management services. Construction is currently underway, and the facility is on track to be completed in the Fall of 2024.

Chad Simpson, President of Realty Trust Group, expressed his excitement, stating, “We are honored to be part of this project that will positively impact healthcare delivery in the region. Our partnership with OrthoTennessee reflects our dedication to advancing access to healthcare services across East Tennessee.”

Dr. Jay Crawford, KOC Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon and President of the OTN Board, echoed this sentiment, saying, “We are thrilled to embark on this journey with RTG as our real estate partner to enhance orthopedic healthcare services in the region. This facility is an important component of our commitment to delivering exceptional care to our patients.”
