(Alcoa, TN – December 10, 2025) — Covenant Health, Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic (KOC) and Realty Trust Group (RTG) broke ground today on the first phase of a new medical campus, a 62,902-square-foot outpatient medical facility at 1440 Tesla Boulevard in the Springbrook Farm development in the heart of Alcoa. The development of this campus expands Covenant Health’s existing access to high-quality care in Blount County. It represents one of the system’s most significant outpatient investments across its 25-county service area.
“As a locally owned, not‑for‑profit healthcare system, we invest where it matters most, convenient access for patients,” said Jim VanderSteeg, President and CEO, Covenant Health. “Springbrook Farm is an expansion of Covenant Health’s long-term commitment to Blount County, and we’re grateful for the partners helping us make this vision a reality.”
The campus will provide the community with convenient access to a variety of healthcare services in a single, highly accessible location just off Alcoa Highway. Healthcare services will include urgent care, primary care, cardiology, medical oncology, infusion therapy, physical therapy, diagnostic imaging, and time-share clinic space, plus an orthopaedic clinic operated by KOC with significant room for future expansion.
“As demand for orthopaedic and outpatient services continues to grow, this facility expands our presence in Blount County, where we have provided comprehensive orthopaedic care for over 50 years. We value our partnership with Covenant and RTG and look forward to supporting the community through this development.”
