Shannon brings 16+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry focused on real estate across the continuum of care. She has worked on real estate transactions for life science, health systems, seniors housing, post-acute, physician groups, MOBs, etc., at organizations such as Vaxxinity, Welltower, Ventas, Bank of America, and Ziegler. She has held roles in investment banking, real estate, asset management, strategy, marketing, and operations. Shannon also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Currently, Shannon is the Life Science Chief Strategy Officer, VP at RTG Healthcare real estate. Before RTG, Shannon was the Chief of Staff at a biotech organization called Vaxxinity, which works on vaccines for COVID, Parkinson’s, and other indications. Shannon reported to the CEO and CSO and was responsible for creating global subsidiaries, strategic projects, real estate engagements for lab space / fill-finish facilities and working on commercial analysis to support the IPO Process. Vaxxinity (VAXX) went public on 11/11/21.
Before Vaxxinity, Shannon worked as a Principal at 4sightHealth, a Healthcare Advisory firm. At 4sightHealth, Shannon was responsible for business development, strategy, and company operations, reporting directly to the CEO. Prior to 4sightHealth, Shannon worked at public REITS, where she evaluated divestiture, operational transfers, and reinvestment opportunities for +82 properties. In addition, she analyzed the real estate and surrounding market for +850 properties quarterly and presented these trends to the C-Suite team to prepare for earnings calls.
Shannon has been responsible for the strategy and execution of healthcare and life science business development, acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management for all asset classes across the continuum of care.
Over her career, Shannon has been responsible for creating demand and increasing margins for next-generation business models in healthcare. She has done this by leveraging her deep network that spans the healthcare continuum, reaching executives at REITS, health systems, payers, pharmaceutical companies, ACO’s, Seniors Housing, and Skilled Nursing providers.
Shannon is a highly organized, creative problem-solver who can guide teams through challenging projects and aggressive timelines. She is known for maximizing profits and achieving optimum utilization of resources through innovative problem solving and lean management. She has successfully developed and executed plans in complex, highly regulated environments.
