Don Parnell

Don Parnell brings over 35 years of strategic planning and project team management to the leadership team at Realty Trust Group. Don's planning experience spans both the public and private sectors, providing exceptional insight in both arenas.

Don has extensive experience in land use planning and has led the planning process for multiple medical center complexes as well as public and private developments. He has served as a site planning consultant on public and private sector projects in the Southeast United States and Caribbean, and is the author of land use regulations for local governments. His clients include Eastern Health System, University Health System, Covenant Health System, AAA East Tennessee, The Centre at Deane Hill, The City of Knoxville Waterfront Master Plan, and the University of Tennessee Knoxville and UT- Chattanooga Long Range Land Use Plans.

Don holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, and a Master of Science in Planning from the University of Tennessee. He is a charter member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, serves on the board of directors of AAA East Tennessee and served for ten years as a board member of the East Tennessee Children's Hospital, including a term as chairman.
